Uma brings nearly 10 years of FinTech expertise, having joined CapitalRise from leading online consumer lending business, Wonga Group, where she held various Head of Product roles for Wonga UK Consumer Loans, Business Lending (Everline.com), and Peer to Peer Lending. Prior to that, she co-founded a social purchasing start-up. Her early career was with Mars Group where she spent 10 years in management roles for confectionary brands including Celebrations, Mars, Galaxy and other household names. She holds a Masters in Engineering from Cambridge University and an MBA from INSEAD. She lives in central London.
Alex has a background in corporate finance having started his career in Investment Banking Management for HSBC before working for HSBC Private Equity. He has been involved in the property sector since 2001 when he co-founded Finchatton, the successful international design and development firm. Over the past 15 years, Finchatton has delivered over 120 projects in prime central London and worldwide with a value in excess of £1 billion. He holds a BA Hons degree in Economics from the University of Nottingham and lives in west London.
Andrew has significant residential property and development experience having worked in the residential sector for over 19 years. In 2001, he co-founded Finchatton, the successful international design and development firm. Over the past 15 years, Finchatton has delivered over 120 projects in prime central London and worldwide with a value in excess of £1 billion. He graduated in Politics and Sociology from Exeter University and lives in west London.
Kate assists with all aspects of the deal lifecycle from origination to documentation and execution, to answering investors questions. She has several years of experience working in property analysis and finance from the Bank of Melbourne to a boutique property investment firm. She holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree in Economics and Finance from the University of Melbourne and lives in south-west London.
Matt is responsible for the origination and structuring of all deals on the CapitalRise platform. He is also Finance Director of Finchatton, the successful international design and development firm. He has over 15 years corporate finance experience with a focus on UK residential and commercial property. He is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants and holds an Honours degree in Geography from the University of Exeter. He lives in south London.
Gerard is responsible for managing and monitoring the finances of CapitalRise. He has worked as a Chartered Accountant for 8 years, previously working in practice at Chantrey Vellacott as a senior accountant before moving into the property sector. He holds a BA Hons in Accounting from the University of Liverpool and lives in Surrey.
Lyndon is responsible for all new loan origination and borrower relationship management at CapitalRise. Lyndon joined CapitalRise from Reditum Capital, a specialist real estate joint venture and alternative financier where he was Investments Analysis Director and worked on numerous UK residential development as well as student accommodation development transactions. Prior to Reditum he set up a UK and European – focused real estate mezzanine debt fund with Munich – based asset manager KGAL. He has been involved in UK and European real estate lending since 2000 when he joined Investec Bank UK. Lyndon has a South African law degree, qualified as an attorney in South Africa and has a MBA (Finance) from Manchester Business School. He lives in North London.
Simon brings considerable legal expertise to the team. He spent much of his career as a solicitor at leading City law firm Macfarlanes LLP where he trained and was a partner for over 20 years, latterly as head of the real estate practice. He currently provides legal support to a number of businesses including CapitalRise and property development firm Finchatton. He is a Cambridge University law graduate and lives in south-west London.
Dinesh is responsible for analysing our lending opportunities and ensuring CapitalRise continues its investments in the finest prime real estate. Dinesh joined from Reditum Capital, a specialist real estate joint venture and alternative financier where he was an investment analyst. There he worked on numerous commercial and residential development transactions across UK and Europe. Prior to Reditum, he was with BNP Paribas Real Estate and Brookland Partners. Dinesh holds an MSc in Real Estate Economics and Finance from the LSE and a BSc Hons in Mathematics from the University of Greenwich.
Anna is responsible for all marketing activities at CapitalRise. She has over 10 years experience in marketing roles across financial services, retail and environmental sectors including Low Carbon Workplace, American Express and more recently at retail credit provider NewDay, where she headed up the digital and new partnership marketing teams. She holds a BSc from the University of Exeter in Biological Science and lives in Buckinghamshire.
Alison manages the Public Relations for CapitalRise. She has 20 years of experience of PR and marketing, previously she was Head of Communications at Battersea Power Station Development Company. Prior to Battersea, Alison was a Director at Brunswick Group, the international corporate communications agency where she specialised in corporate communications, media relations, brand management and crisis communications.
At Brunswick Group, Alison worked on a variety of profile raising and media campaigns including Battersea Power Station, Canary Wharf Group, Ocado, the NFL, Jack Wills, Gucci Group, Burberry and Swarovski. Alison's transactional experience includes IPOs for Ocado and Groupon and BHP Billiton's bid for Rio Tinto.
Joe is responsible for product development at CapitalRise. He has experience in curating and delivering a wide array of digital products within financial services. Prior to CapitalRise, Joe held various roles at Metro Bank, delivering a new banking app, websites and numerous other award-winning products. He holds a Masters in Engineering from the University of Exeter and is currently pursuing an Executive MBA with Warwick Business School. He lives in south London.
