CapitalRise Bolsters Lending and Origination Team with New Director of Sales

CapitalRise announces the expansion of its lending and origination team with the hire of new Director of Sales, Lorenzo Satchell (pictured). With over 30 years of experience in financial services, Lorenzo is a highly accomplished individual in the specialist lending space. He will be a valuable addition to the business as CapitalRise continues to demonstrate impressive growth in loan origination.

The expansion of CapitalRise’s team comes as a response to strong market demand for development and bridging finance within the prime property sector across London and the wider South East. The firm recently passed the half a billion pounds of lending milestone, following a particularly strong April-May.

Lorenzo joins CapitalRise from Hampshire Trust Bank (HTB), where he worked as Sales Director. In that role, he demonstrated exceptional leadership, having spearheaded the development of a new bridging proposition. His ability to build and scale a substantial lending book in a challenging market is a testament to his foresight, adaptability, and strong commercial acumen, ensuring sustainable growth and client-centric solutions.

Prior to HTB, Lorenzo worked at a number of specialist lenders over the course of his career, including Kensington Mortgages, London Mortgage Co., Money Partners, and Together.

In his new role as Director of Sales at CapitalRise, Lorenzo will be responsible for supporting continued origination growth, in particular by further expanding CapitalRise’s bridging loan proposition. He will also lead the development of new products in response to increased market demand for bespoke finance solutions.

CapitalRise’s core lending product range currently consists of Senior, Stretch Senior, and Mezzanine Bridging, Development, and Sales Period Loans.

Lee Francis, Head of Origination at CapitalRise, comments:

“We are delighted to welcome Lorenzo to our growing team. Lorenzo brings many years of industry experience from across property, finance and bridging markets. He has worked with an impressive list of clients in London and the wider South East to secure funding for some flagship projects. With such a strong background, I am confident that his skills will help the business on its already strong growth trajectory.”

Uma Rajah, CapitalRise CEO and Co-Founder, adds:

“We have increasingly ambitious lending targets for 2025 and beyond, following strong recent performance. We recently passed the £500m in origination milestone, having lent against over £1bn of prime property assets to date.

“What is more, with a strong appetite to fund even more developments, supported by our robust and diverse range of funding lines, this is a great time to have such an experienced finance professional join the business. We are excited to have Lorenzo join our team and look forward to working with him on an exciting range of projects.”
