CapitalRise Strengthens Origination Team with Appointment of Stacey Baxter as Associate Lending Director

CapitalRise is pleased to announce the appointment of Stacey Baxter as Associate Lending Director, further enhancing its origination capabilities as the business continues to scale its operations across London and the wider South of England.

Stacey brings over 18 years of experience in the finance sector, with a strong track record in business banking, real estate finance, and high-net-worth client relationship management.

Her appointment comes at a time of continued growth for CapitalRise, following the firm’s recent milestone of over £500 million in lending and a robust pipeline of lending opportunities.

Stacey joins CapitalRise from Arbuthnot Latham, where she managed a substantial real estate loan book and led new business development initiatives. Her ability to consistently exceed lending targets, even amid regulatory headwinds such as Basel 3.1, is a testament to her commercial acumen and deep sector knowledge.

Prior to this, Stacey held senior roles at Investec and RBS International, where she managed complex real estate lending portfolios across the UK, Channel Islands, and Gibraltar. Her experience spans the full deal lifecycle – from origination and structuring to credit stewardship and execution – on transactions ranging from £500K to £100M. She has worked on a wide range of asset types, including large-scale residential developments and mixed-use portfolios.

In her new role at CapitalRise, Stacey will focus on originating high-quality development finance opportunities, building on her extensive network of brokers, advisors, and legal professionals.

Lee Francis, Head of Origination at CapitalRise, comments:
“We’re thrilled to welcome Stacey to the team. Her breadth of experience across real estate lending and her strong relationship-driven approach make her a perfect fit for CapitalRise. As we continue to grow our lending book and expand our reach, Stacey’s expertise will be instrumental in helping us deliver tailored finance solutions to our clients.”

Uma Rajah, CEO and Co-Founder of CapitalRise, adds:
“Stacey’s appointment reflects our commitment to attracting top talent as we pursue ambitious growth targets. Her proven ability to navigate complex transactions and her passion for client service align perfectly with our values. We’re excited to have her on board as we continue to fund exceptional developments in prime locations.”
